Actress Zendaya has signed on to be an ambassador for Italian luxury house Valentino. Creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli made the decision to tap the ‘Euphoria’ star as a sign of change at the brand. A mainstay of glossies like Elle, Marie Claire, and Vogue, Zendaya is no stranger to the world of fashion. Official campaign images show the star in relaxed yet elegant poses. She wears a black lace look along with a black and gold-tone stud adorned bag in one picture. For another shot, Zendaya models a white dress with an ivory bag decorated featuring metal details.

“The contemporary need to identify, to belong yet feel different, to risk and to feel strength. The modern DIVA is a complex character of codes, upheld by inner values. In Pierpaolo Piccioli’s search to resignify the codes of Valentino, the Creative Director has named the first face of the Maison. From this point, a new definition will take form,” the brand states.

Zendaya also recently graced ELLE US‘ December 2020 cover wearing a sparkling fringed Valentino design from its fall-winter haute couture collection. Styled by longtime stylist Law Roach, the look pairs with sneakers from Nike.
