SPRING AT H&M – Despite the cold weather on the east coast, fashion retailers are going full speed ahead with their spring styles. H&M is the latest brand to release their spring selection in a new lookbook featuring Andreea Diaconu. View H&M’s bohemian spring style book photos.
Modern Goddess–The beautiful Doutzen Kroes‘ looks have no doubt been described as divine before, and the March issue of Vogue Turkey sees the Dutch model starring as a Greek goddess in ethereal spring fashions. Photographer Cuneyt Akeroglu captures the Victoria’s Secret Angel in regal looks styled by fashion editor Konca Aykan featuring sheer and draped materials with an Olympic touch. Surrounded by white statues and Greek-inspired architecture, Doutzen delivers some of her best work yet.
Miranda Strips Down for Reebok–Australian model Miranda Kerr continues to land major campaigns with new television and print advertisements for Reebok’s Skyscape Forever shoes. A footwear style made for active and casual wear, the 360-degrees of foam is described as having an unparalleled level of comfort. Gilles Bensimon captured the print campaign while director Dave Myers took on the television spot. The commercial shows Miranda getting home from a day of yoga and wearing the shoes to the point of almost taking a shower with them on. The Aussie model bares her toned body for the spot, just like she did for her new Wonderbra advertisements released earlier this week.
Pop Art–The colors and graphic prints of the Pop Art movement inspires this fashion spread featured in the March issue of L’Officiel Singapore. Kelly Mittendorf models seventies silhouettes from labels such as Stella McCartney, Peter Pilotto and Giorgio Armani styled by Phuong My for the vibrant shoot captured in the style of Roy Lichtenstein. Karlie’s Celtic Winter–Following up last season’s campaign, leading model Karlie Kloss is back for the fall-winter 2014 advertisements from Brazilian brand Animale. The theme of the new shoot is very “Game of Thrones” with a celtic fantasy inspiration which shows Karlie posing against stonework in a forest setting. YOLO!–The term YOLO (You Only Live Once) holds true for this recent beauty shoot featured in the April issue of Cosmopolitan US. Models Ali Michael and Victoria Brito wear daring, once in a lifetime hairstyles in these images lensed by Jason Nocito. Hair stylist Dennis Lanni and colorist Lena Ott create the girls’ rainbow colored tresses. Styled by James Worthington-Demolet, Ali and Victoria model equally standout fashions from the likes of Salvatore Ferragamo, Burberry Prorsum and Timo Weiland in this eye-catching shoot. / Makeup by Eric Polito
Wild Silk–Following up its recent runway show, Hermès has released a spring 2014 catalogue featuring its iconic scarves worn by former face of the brand, Iselin Steiro. The blonde model stuns in colorful and kaleidoscopic prints posing against a studio backdrop where the oversized silk patterns shine against her naked skin. H&M Does Bridal–Fashion brand H&M has become the go to for fashionistas on a budget, and now the Swedish retailer is hoping brides will even start buying their wedding apparel there. Set to launch in the US later this month online and in stores, H&M has released an image of its first wedding gown that comes in at a whopping $100. The design is inspired by a 1930s Hollywood silhouette and features a gathered waist in white of course. So, would you buy a wedding gown from the fast fashion brand or will you just stick with H&M’s spring 2014 mainline?
Launching its new “Lived In” campaign, the spring advertisements from Gap enlists up and coming talent for a series of studio portraits taken by David Sims. This marks creative director Rebekka Bay’s first full collection, a modern and youthful interpretation of classic, casual Gap styles. Among the cast includes singer-songwriters Birdy and Anna Calvi, actress Julia Garner and photographer Lina Scheynius.
Additionally, a concept store with the “Lived In” theme is open now in London’s Boxpark. Each month, a new theme featuring the best of Gap’s key items will be revealed from the spring collection. The images reflect the wearer’s personal style with a wardrobe including essential basics such as jeans, t-shirts and jackets.
