Actress Christina Hendricks has entered the 1970s as her role as Joan Holloway on ‘Mad Men’, and now channels the decade for the May-June 2015 cover story from LA Confidential. The redhead poses for Tony Duran in a feature where 1970s trends like high-waist denim, long-sleeve blouses and capes are spotlighted.
In her interview, Christina, who recently went strawberry blonde, talks about having a major female following. “I love [that I have a female following] because I’m a girl’s girl,” she beams. “I’m a guy’s girl, too—I’ve got lots of guy friends, but my girlfriends are really important to me. And there must be something about that being important in my life that I project that into my characters without even knowing it. I really respect women, and so to receive it back is awesome.”
