Dita’s New Venture–Burlesque performer Dita Von Teese is collaborating with Bloomingdale’s on a line of lingerie apparel which will be available on March 15th, reports WWD. Known for walking the runway of Jean Paul Gaultier and attending fashion shows, it seems like a good fit for the star and retailer. A Tale of Two Ditas – DITA Eyewear founders Jeff Solorio and John Juniper enlist burlesque performer Dita Von Teese and Mark Mahoney, the proprietor of the Shamrock Social Club in Hollywood, for its fall 2013 campaign. “Mark and Dita individually epitomize sartorial elegance and evoke a time lost when people were more stylized and paid attention to every detail – especially their eyewear,” says Solorio of the casting choice. The two pose for Lionel Deluy and John Juniper in classic eyewear styles from the brand.
Red Teese – Burlesque performer Dita Von Teese attended Sidaction’s annual AIDS fundraiser Dîner de la Mode, on Thursday wearing a red embroidered silk chiffon cocktail dress from Elie Saab’s autumn-winter 2010 collection. The brunette wore her signature retro curls with scarlet lips to the event.
