Valentino Spring 2015: A Grand Journey

Valentino Spring 2015–Inspired by the Grand Tour—a bygone passage for European young men to travel and experience culture in mainly France and Italy—Valentino designers Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli take an excursion of their own for the fashion house’s spring-summer 2015 collection. The pop art influence of last season transforms into dresses splashed with worldly prints featuring tiered layers, languid shapes and feminine details. Spring has an almost bohemian vibe thanks to delicate broderie anglaise, dreamy color combinations and sheer fabrics. Completing the look, the Valentino woman wears gladiator sandals and colorful bags adorned with the same aforementioned prints.

Chanel Makes a Statement for Spring 2015

Chanel Spring 2015–Transforming the Grand Palais into a street-like runway, Chanel creative director Karl Lagerfeld took on the feminist movement (or a version of it) for the brand’s spring-summer 2015 show. The collection began with models wearing relaxed fit suiting in tweed. Tying in with its founder Coco Chanel’s history of defying gender expectations, models wore looks that were made for everyday life including slouchy pants and culotte cuts.

However, that is not to say there was a lack of glamour. Lagerfeld also showed mid-length dresses adorned with metallic paillettes, ruffled skirts and glittering jewelry. The show ended with a full on protest on the street as models including Cara Delevingne and Gisele Bundchen hit the catwalk with signs featuring feminist slogans and bull horns.

Saint Laurent Spring 2015: Rock On

Saint Laurent Spring 2015–Hedi Slimane continued his devotion to the rock and roll scene for the spring-summer 2015 collection from Saint Laurent presented during Paris Fashion Week’s sixth day of shows. The era of choice this season? The seventies. Keeping on trend with the decade that quite a few designers have tapped into this season, Slimane presented hot pants in denim, plugging necklines and cropped leather jackets. The Saint Laurent girl accessorizes with hats galore including turbans and boater hats adorned with buckles. On her feet, she wears a chunky platform heel with a mix of gold metallic, leopard prints and a star motif for quite the statement piece.

Behati Prinsloo is Stalked by Adam Levine in “Animals” Music Video

Newly married couple Behati Prinsloo and singer Adam Levine are pretty intense in the new music video for Adam’s band Maroon 5 called, “Animals”. The singer plays a creepy butcher who is obsessed with Behati to the point of stalking (not exaggerating here). There are plenty of gratuitous shots of the Victoria’s Secret Angel and “The Voice” judge half-naked, and there is even a creepy shrine dedicated to Behati in a dark room. The video ends with the two making out in blood all “Carrie” style.
