Freja Beha Erichsen by Terry Richardson for Vogue Nippon August 2010

Photographer Terry Richardson and fashion editor George Cortina return back to the seventies with the August issue of Vogue Nippon. Starring Freja Beha Erichsen as a woman having an affair with an older gentleman, the story takes us from the hotel to the car and back again. Showcasing pieces from the likes of Marc Jacobs, Emilio Pucci, and Jil Sander, Freja makes a convincing other woman in The Untold Crime.

I love the tough girl look on freja, but I'm happy she's getting new styles of editorials, this 70's vibe fits her so much too <3
    I'll buy this for sure!

  10. I fall firmly into the anti-Terry camp, but I have to say this editorial is stunningly shot. The styling is flawless and one of those moments where doing the 70s literally doesn't feel trite or overly referential. Or maybe I just really love Klute. Either way, George Cortina's a genius.

  13. I am normally not the biggest Terry fan, but this is absolutely gorgeous.

Love that one of the shoots is outside the Grace building, lol, I used to walk by it all the time when I was living in the area.

  16. I have to say that this does not look like a Terry editorial at all, and I actually quite enjoyed it. Freja, as always, is a stunning model, and the styling is gorgeous! The story and setting are also spot-on.

Maybe Richardson got the message and is turning over a new leaf? No more perverted sexual acts passing off as high art? Yet, even if he is a "new man" he still needs to answer for what he did in the past. Hopefully the fashion world won't let him get off scot-free!

  19. Why anyone has to stoop to calling a photographer "A Sicko", when he delivers exactly what's been asked of him, I'll never know. His work would never be published if it didn't suit whoever pays the bill. This editorial shows the real talent of the man with photography at the very best and a story beautifully told. There'd be a firm handshake with this pay cheque, well done Terry.
