Rupert Sanderson Makes it All About the Shoes for Fall 2013 Ads

Focus on Shoes – For his fall-winter 2013 campaign, shoe designer Rupert Sanderson found inspiration in Eastern culture ranging from Japanese kimonos to Lalique glassware. The images, photographed by Eddie Wrey and styled by Tamara Rothstein, were shot on location at the Mayfair Japanese restaurant, Sake No Hana. “This season’s campaign really gives a razor sharpness and to a collection inspired by a modern and dark Japan. I was thinking Kill Bill and elaborate Japanese bondage techniques,” says Sanderson about the autumn advertisements.

Rope by Esinem. Sadly, I haven’t seen any of the more elaborate rope work I did for this shoot in print.
