In a recent interview with Vogue, supermodel Naomi Campbell opened about her role on the the Fox hit show ‘Empire’ where she plays the older girlfriend of Hakeem Lyon, Camilla Marks. “Don’t use the cougar word!” Naomi tells the magazine.
Although the show has been breaking ratings records, Naomi says she almost did not take the role. “I’ve known Lee for a long time but when he asked me to play the role, I wasn’t sure,” she says. “I’d kind of given up on acting.” It was none other than Diane von Furstenberg who convinced her to take it. Diane told her to give acting “one more try, go out there and own it!”
She also said her interview that she dresses her character for the show and is looking for wardrobe ideas for season 2 which films in the summer.
