Inspired by 1950s icon, actress Marilyn Monroe, the fall-winter 2015 collection from Max Mara looked to the past for today’s show. The Italian label presented a cozy collection of bomber jackets, cashmere sweaters and overcoats in neutral hues with pops of blue and teal inspired by the blonde’s downtime style. It was not all about outerwear though. Monroe’s bombshell appeal was referenced with form-fitting pencil skirts and sheer sweaters paired with tight bustiers. Tousled tresses with undone curls brought a modern approach to the icon’s noted beauty.
