Balmain Spring 2012 | Paris Fashion Week

Balmain’s Western Spring – With a new creative director, Balmain did not lose its rock and roll edge for the spring 2012 season under Olivier Rousteing’s western inspired vision. Skinny jeans, embroidered blazers and leggy hemlines dominated the runway with metallic and crystal accents in full force. Of course, no western inspired look is completed without fringe, sweeping skirts and chunky buckles.

  1. If I didn’t know, I would say this collection was designed by Christophe Decarnin.  Why did he leave Balmain, anyway?

    • He had an emotional breakdown and went into rehab or, don’t want to say institution, but somewhere like that.

  2. Reminds me of Christophes’s early work for Balmain when the collections were lighter and not torn. Love all of it!

  3. i love Christophe’s design so much that i don’t really like it, but i see that’s a good work.
