Balenciaga Spring 2012 | Paris Fashion Week

Balenciaga’s Sculpted SpringBalenciaga’s spring 2012 collection made news with multiple benches collapsing before the show even began leaving editors and other show-goers all standing. Nonetheless, the show went on with creative director Nicolas Ghesquière’s vision for the new season on full display, including his signature play on shapes. Bulky jackets and sculpted dress silhouettes dominated the runway as well as high-waisted shorts. A change from fall’s bold coils, strips and netting, the Balenciaga woman took on metallic panels and abstract prints for spring in a showing of pure modern clothing.

Hate those jacket in couple of first looks. Some pieces are great though. This collection isn’t my cup of tea.

Most of these clothes make the stick-thin models look large & broad-shouldered.  How would they make the average woman look?!

Forgive me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think most designer’s clothes are made for the average woman.

Yeah, but what about your average starlet. I’d like to see these in a red carpet situation. Actually I wish someone would start that revolution…

Fierce because it’s fearless. Not loving the bulk silhouettes this season.

boxy lines and colourful prints, kind of predictable… BUT a great combo of statement pieces.

I really don’t like the combination, if ever I’ll buy something like that I’m not pretty sure what occasion should I probably wear that outfit..
