After completing her college graduation, Laura wanted to take a bit of time to herself to travel. She had taken Japanese classes in school and had always dreamed of visiting the country, so she decided this was the time to go. Laura knew right away; she wanted to visit the capital city of Tokyo; there were so many fantastic sites to see, and it would be a perfect place to experience the culture of Japan.
As she began planning her trip, Laura started looking at photography vacation packages since she wanted to have professional photographs of this particular vacation. She knew this would be the trip of a lifetime and it was essential to a meaningful way to preserve the memories. After looking around at different options, she decided to hire a local photographer through Localgrapher who could meet her in the city and do a photo shoot.
Laura wanted to explore Tokyo for a few days by herself before doing the photo shoot so she could get a feel for the city and get ideas for how to take the pictures. She was particularly interested in visiting some of the temples for their historical significance and artistic beauty.

She began with the Senso-ji Temple, one of Tokyo’s most famous landmarks. The temple was spectacular, with the fantastic Kaminari-mon Gate at the entrance of the shrine and the Holy Incense Vat housed in the Senso-ji which was supposed to have healing powers. Laura explored the lanes and pathways surrounding the temple and then decided to return in the evening to see the spectacular light display of the temple lanterns. She was glad she returned later in the day, since the lights were stunning, and it was less crowded than when she visited early on.
The next days Laura explored other prominent attractions of Tokyo, including the Imperial Palace and the National Museum of History and Science. After studying Japanese in school, Laura enjoyed being able to learn more about the culture and history of Japan through the interactive displays at the museum and by visiting the various landmarks.

On the day of the photo shoot, Laura met her photographer at Ueno Park. The photographer had suggested that this would be an excellent place to begin the photo shoot, because of the beautiful natural scenery of the park. Laura was also lucky to be traveling during the springtime season in Japan, and so the trees and flowers of the park were in full bloom. Laura was ecstatic about the results of the photo shoot; she hadn’t realized how beautiful the springtime blossoms in the park would be, as was grateful the photographer had suggested doing the photoshoot there. Happy that she now had pictures to show her friends and family back home of her wonderful experience, Laura was able to enjoy the rest of her vacation with some ideas about how to take other pictures for herself of Tokyo.
Any photographer in Tokyo is lucky; there are so many amazing spots to visit, and of course, seeing things in person is a unique experience. Laura was thrilled she had the chance to have a local help her with the photo shoot so she could bring back a piece of her trip to show people a glimpse of the fantastic time she had. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience for Laura, and now she can always look back fondly at the pictures to remember her vacation.
