Marni Spring 2015–Celebrating 20 years, Marni designer Consuelo Castiglioni presented a spring-summer 2015 collection which seemed to evolve as each look hit the catwalk. Looking at the house’s DNA, Marni’s shapes are at once complex and simple; organic and crafted The same can be said for this latest outing. The first looks began as a raw “canvas” as the show notes describe—muted tones form sculptural shapes and elegant curves that move away from the body.

But as the looks carried on, the colors became more complex as do the silhouettes and textures. Bold color-blocking paired with geometric shapes and floral prints bring a worldly influence to the Marni woman’s wardrobe. As do the kimono-inspired quotes and African-influenced jewelry. For the finale look worn by Julie Nobis, lacquered flowers bloom over strips of fabric for a hand-crafted effect.
