Marking his second year at Balenciaga, artistic director Demna Gvasalia continued to make his vision clear for the French brand’s fall-winter 2018 runway show. The season opened with a navy form-fitting velvet minidress. What followed included a series of body conscious dresses in jewel tones and colorful prints. Gvasalia also showcased coats oversized yet molded at the waist for a structured effect. Head scarves, gloved tops, fuzzy sweaters and pleated skirts also hit the catwalk. For the finale, the Balenciaga woman wore layers upon layers which turned out to be individual pieces. Faux fur coats, hoodies, flannel shirts and more made for the perfect winter coverups.
