It is the ‘principle’ that is being stated, the intellectual property of the Photographer. It does not matter if the images shown and not approved are gawjus. Yes they are – and that is not the point the Photographer is making. It is how one/artist/designer/photographer/any-creative in business – wants their work to be represented.
I agree 100% unfortunately things have changed in the last 10 years regarding ‘respect’ to work and the artist. If you were paid for these then the payer most likely feels they own the photos. There was a time when photographers always owned the rights to the images. You may wish to re-read, if you signed a contract prior to shooting.
