Dolce & Gabbana dubbed their spring-summer 2017 collection, ‘Tropico Italiano’. The runway show celebrated the design duo’s signature Southern Italian style complete with sparkling embellishments and whimsical prints. Opening with band jackets over embroidered denim, Dolce & Gabbana brought a sense of fantasy from the start. Elsewhere, dresses with 50’s inspired silhouettes in black lace and floral prints offered some sex appeal. This season saw the introduction of playful prints including alcoholic drinks, pasta, bread, fish and bread on many pieces. Finishing the look, the Dolce & Gabbana woman wears ornate headpieces as well as slide-on sandals and platform heels.
