Tom Ford Takes on Street Wear for Spring 2020 Collection

Joanna Elizabeth / Published September 10, 2019

Tom Ford sets his spring-summer 2020 collection on an empty train platform at NYC’s Bowery station. The American designer repurposes street looks to more elevated and elegant silhouettes. Slouchy tank tops, basketball shorts and full skirts take over spring. A color palette pairs vibrant oranges, purples and greens with neutral black, white and dusky pink.

Bralette tops, cut-out bodysuits and plunging necklines bring some sex appeal. “I think that it is a time for ease, and in that way a return to the kind of luxurious sportswear that America has become known for all over the world,” Ford says about spring.
