Alessandro Michele’s vision at Gucci has lead the storied Italian fashion brand’s sales to rise 43% since last year. During the first day at Milan Fashion Week, Gucci’s spring-summer 2018 runway show featured the designer’s eclectic and colorful designs. The collection was shown to a front row including Dakota Johnson, Salma Hayek and Petra Collins. Michele’s woman can not be boxed into a single look or aesthetic. Instead, she floats between a puffed sleeve sequined top to a luxe fur coat and ladylike cardigans. Not shying away from color; bold green, purple, red, blue and pink shades took over the runway. With references to Elton John, Bugs Bunny and even Sega, these looks know no bounds and the Gucci customer is loving it.
