  3. at least this editorial isn’t pretentious, just a pretty girl trying on clothes.

i definitely get the drag queen vibes when they put too much make-up on her

    • If this is a sincere question, Alessandra has done several edgy editorials in the past year – just click her tag at the top of this page and check out the eds that she did for Ruush, and her work for Vogue Nippon and Vogue Russia as well as her Love and Industrie editorials.

While I like this ed, it is not one of her best eds in recent times and does trend on the non-edgy side – not that there is anything wrong with that.

  5. Who cares if this is commercial?? Whenever she does something “edgy”, you guys (most of you, me included) rip her for it, because she cant carry too much makeup on some of her harsher facial features. She should do whatever makes her and the editorial look good, and for this i give her points. Not everyone is Freja or Daphne.

    • I care because she makes the shoot seem commercial and it’s not really flattering. Fashion is the branch of art. And Alessandra made this editorial look so, ah how to put it, celebrity-ish. It’s exactly what people not interested in fashion think is all about: showing off expensive clothes and being shallow. She should stick to VS, not everyone can be a high fashion model but well, I don’t really think Vogue Mexico is exactly about high fashion…

      • But a lot of fashion is about “showing off expensive clothes and being shallow,” when you pick up an issue of Vogue, it is more ads than anything and those ads are not for museums and PBS programs.

  7. I don’t like that her mouth is open all the time! but she’s definitely a commercial beauty! And I bet she sells a lot of magazines!
