Starting with Fabrics by the Metre to Create Stylish Clothes

Do clothes make the man, or is this just a way of saying? Like all proverbs, this saying expresses the wisdom of the past, which developed over centuries of experience. But clothes do not make the man, in the sense that a garment is not enough to create one’s personality. Other elements are needed, such as the fabric by the metre selected, the cut of the garment, and, last but not least, the allure of the wearer.

Besides, any person can make themselves interesting and acquire a recent appearance by choosing the suitable cloth, making sure that this enhances their figure and is also created with the perfect fabric, with particular attention for every detail.

In all these two cases, the cloth has an important role as long as it is the right and suitable for the occasion and one’s state of mind. But how can one determine which cloth is proper?  There exists a relation, which is not only psychological, between material and the wearer. Sure enough, the fabric’s choice by the metre used to make the garment fits; therefore, its style can represent something that helps one feel safe, instead of a weight to carry.

Fabrics by the Metre & Fashion

Going deep into the world of fashion is like being “Alice in Wonderland,” finding oneself on a sort of the main road branching out into many other routes, each pointing to a different tailor, an extra fabric by the metre, a different style.

In these cases, the ancient teaching “know yourself” still represents a basic rule without which it is impossible to make the best choices in terms of the tailor, fabric, jacket style, or trousers cut.

Men, Women & Fabrics by the Metre

The great advantage women have over men is, perhaps, a certain degree of elasticity and ability to play two distinct roles at the same time: on the one hand, a formal, professional role, and on the other hand, the role played in their spare time, to be also understood as an expression of their femininity.

Changing roles reflect a different external appearance, made of fabrics chosen by the metre to create exclusive garments, with entire colors and, last but not least, exclusive shapes, to express one’s character better.

Moreover, when choosing a fabric or a cloth, women – more than men – consider how they feel or instead wonder what they should wear. This difference should not be underestimated because it determines the liveliness and colours of the fabric by the metre and consequently the cloth.

We live in mature and happy times in the history of fashion, where there are no strict rules or impositions, which translates into greater freedom for everyone to choose everything, starting with the fabric.

However, the unquestionable aspect is that wearing the right clothes involves the same process as that followed to build houses: it is necessary to start from the foundations. This means that it is necessary to have good knowledge of the world of fabrics, including wool, cotton, linen, and silk, and then add details. The clothes, jackets, and trousers in one’s wardrobe are enriched with a new element every season.
