New Play – The November issue of Vogue China celebrates its own with a fashion spread highlighting the best of upcoming Chinese labels such as Cocoon, Elisabeth Koch and Ochirly. Stockton Johnson captures models Jing Wen, Xu Chao and Liu Xu in a series of images featuring bold colors and shapes selected by stylist Yoyo Yao.
Celebrate – In celebration of its 25th anniversary issue, Elle China enlists homegrown beauty Shu Pei, Miao Bin Si, CiCi Xiang and Emma Pei for a lengthy fashion featured photographed by Stockton Johnson. The models wear all designer labels including Kenzo, Celine, Valentino and more selected by WeiMo, who styled Shu Pei, and Wuwoo who styled the other girls. Shu Pei flew out to Milan and posed with designers Roberto Cavalli, Dean & Dan Caten and Silvia Fendi in the glossy images.
New Season Style – Vogue China encourages readers to revamp their closets with its “Wardrobe Update” fashion feature. Local model Tian Yi stars in the spread wearing feminine fall and winter apparel from Celine, Marc Jacobs, Givenchy by Ricardo Tisci, and other leading designers. Stylist Camilla Wang selected the looks for the Stockton Johnson-photographed fashion editorial. The American fashion and beauty photographer snapped Tian against a simple background to put her delicate features and the new season styles in the spotlight.
Fashionable in Fur – Lina Zhang plays the part of a modern woman rediscovering her ancient roots in Elle Vietnam’s “Wild at Heart” October 2013 cover story. Stockton Johnson snapped the Chinese beauty in the historic Vietnamese town of Da Nang. Stylist Phuong My dressed Lina in bold fur apparel from esteemed fashion houses including Valentino, Gucci, and Salvatore Ferragamo amongst others. Hair stylist and makeup artist Kevin Long continued the fur theme with Lina’s dramatic ‘do.
