Pierre Balmain Spring – For its spring 2014 collection, Pierre Balmain found inspiration in the rebellious punk spirit of the seventies with an outing of rock essentials including lots of leather, stockings and lace. Andreea Diaconu, who fronted the fall campaign for the brand, models the look book; exuding a downtown chic that is at once sexy and daring. Motorcycle jackets, tops with mesh detailing and short dresses with form-fitting silhouettes are the standout looks of spring.
The Night Life – Andreea Diaconu lands another campaign this season with the fall 2013 advertisements from Pierre Balmain. The Romanian model is joined by Paolo Anchisi on the streets of Paris outside the Bouffes Parisiens for a set of nighttime snapped images shot by Lachlan Bailey. Stylist Geraldine Saglio worked on the shoot which features the autumn collection’s structured outerwear and pant looks.
A French Spring – The spring-summer 2013 collection from Pierre Balmain is inspired by French glamour–namely the grand hotels of Nice and the French Riviera, the style of iconic French actress Jeanne Moreau, and the club Les Bains Douches. Model Anna Selezneva stars in the campaign and lookbook images photographed by Karim Sadli with art direction by Atelier Franck Durand. For its spring outing, the Pierre line juxtaposes graphic black and white with vibrant hues in romantic and modern silhouettes.
Pierre Girl – The fall 2012 collection from Balmain’s offshoot line, Pierre Balmain, offers up a youthfully rebellious look at the new season with light layering and body conscious designs. Model Melissa Stasiuk sports Balmain staples such as the skinny pant, leather jacket and short skirt in the ethereal images. The new collection also has an accompanying film inspired by French and Italian films of the sixties. In the film, Melissa stars alongside male model Adrien Sahores as the two flirt with desire.
Balmain Flair – After months of waiting, we finally have a full look at the highly anticipated Pierre Balmain spring 2012 collection. Tapping Snejana Onopka to model the hip and youthful wear, the debut line has all the trappings of Balmain’s well-known rock and roll aesthetic including form-fitting pants, cool prints, leather jackets and tailored blazers at more affordable prices starting at €120.
