Xiao Makes her Marc – Xiao Wen fronts the Marc Jacobs spring 2012 campaign, making her the first Chinese model to front the label. Captured by long time Jacobs collaborator, Juergen Teller, Xiao hits the graffiti covered streets in headscarves and ’20s inspired silhouettes.
Jacobs’ Spring Mash-up – Marc Jacobs delivered a mix and match of twenties and sixties style for his spring 2012 collection shown during the final day of New York Fashion Week. The American designer even added a touch of the futuristic with shiny and sheer materials. Using a color palette of pastel, metallic and jewel toned hues, the spring season is light, youthful even with its uninhibited experimentation of shape, style and texture.
Relaxed Marc – Marc by Marc Jacobs’ spring 2012 collection follows the trend of pop prep that we have seen multiple times this season for New York Fashion. With jovial tones of orange, red and yellow, the Marc girl has a youthful look complete with rosy cheeks and pale lips. For the silhouette, it was kept simple with relaxed jumpers, belted dresses and lightweight jacket and pant combinations.
MJ Mischief – Marc Jacob’s fall 2011 campaign leans on the quirky side with actress Helena Bonham Carter modeling the polka dot fueled range. Captured by Juergen Teller, Helena puts on wacky expressions and poses for the energetic, off-kilter affair.

Marc Jacobs fall 2011 show seemed to be a rehash of the old and the new. On one hand, there was an obvious vintage influence found in the 40s’ silhouettes, yet at the same time there was a certain futuristic undertone with metallic and other lustrous materials on display. Another highlight was the polka dot motif repeating everywhere from hats to patterned stockings. Offsetting the dot overload, Jacobs also offered form-fitting garments of lace. Far from matronly, the pieces were as seductive as they were lady-like.
