Natalie in Dior – Actress Natalie Portman shined, quite literally, at the premiere of her new film “Thor: The Dark World” held in London earlier today. The star wore a look from Dior’s spring 2014 collection–a black cashmere top and metallic jacquard skirt designed by Raf Simons. She also wore a pair of shoes and clutch from the label.
Dior’s Lady – The face of Dior since 2008, French actress Marion Cotillard is back once again for the resort 2014 Lady Dior advertising campaign. In the past, Marion has posed for the likes of Steven Klein and Jean-Baptiste Mondino, and now British photographer Tim Walker captures the brunette beauty in a series of images which embrace color. With her timeless looks and effortless elegance, it’s easy to see why Dior has kept up the collaboration for five years and running.
Girl on Fire – Girl of the moment, Jennifer Lawrence, appears in the fall-winter issue of Dior Magazine. The bi-annual publication is printed by Dior and as the face of the Paris fashion house’s Miss Dior line, Jennifer exudes pure elegance in a series of black and white images photographed by Mikael Jansson. The American actress shows off the season’s outerwear and tailored suiting for the striking portraits.
Carey in Dior – Actress Carey Mulligan attended the premiere of “Inside Llewyn Davis” held earlier today during the 57th BFI London Film Festival. The brunette looked demure in a Dior yellow matte silk and wool crepe cocktail dress with shoes by the label.
Jessica in Dior – Actress Jessica Alba attended Variety’s 5th Annual Power of Women Event held on October 4th in Beverly Hills. Jessica wore a Dior anthracite and black wool metallic dress paired with a clutch from the label. The star’s shoes are from Jimmy Choo.
Dior’s Spring Garden – Amidst a runway show featuring a setting of hanging flora, the spring 2014 collection from Dior similarly embraced the floral theme whether it was quite literal with prints or more abstract with shape. Raf Simons has reinterpreted the house’s DNA for the past several seasons, and now it looks like he is bringing his own unique stamp to the brand. The spring preview implemented emblem decorations which adorned the iconic Dior “Bar” jacket. In fact, decoration was a main theme of the show, whether with bold prints or dresses embellished with colorful sayings like, “Primrose Path” or “Ultra Violet Mouth”. It was a change from the minimal restraint Simons has shown in the past. For the finale, models walked in black suiting decorated with kaleidoscopic patterns or silver jacquard dresses.
Seasonal Colors – A recent issue of Modern Weekly China spotlights Dior’s resort 2014 collection with this colorful shoot lensed by Sofia Sanchez & Mauro Mongiello. Model Kristina Salinovic stars in the studio snaps styled by Felipe Mendes in the French fashion house’s color-blocked designs by Raf Simons. The images’ dramatic hues pop against Kristina’s white blonde hair courtesy of Seb Bascle and red lips by makeup artist Morgane Martini.
Natalie at the Ballet Gala – Face of Dior cosmetics, actress Natalie Portman, wore the brand once again at the 2013 Fall Gala of the New York City Ballet held yesterday. The star opted to wear a Dior Haute Couture gown made of light blue, yellow and black silk, as well as a Dior clutch, shoes and jewelry. Talk about a total look!
The New Minimal – Jennifer Lawrence is back for the fall 2013 advertisements from Dior’s “Miss Dior” handbag line. The American actress poses for Daniel Jackson in a series of studio images showcasing the bags’ quilted styles and chain detailing. Jennifer wears a grey coat and messy updos in the minimal snaps with styling by Tiina Laakkonen.
Cate in Dior – Actress Cate Blanchett never shies away from taking risks with her red carpet looks, and proved that sentiment in a colorful, floral and star patterned gown from Dior’s fall 2013 Haute Couture line. The blonde wore the silk dress at the 39th Deauville Film Festival, promoting her movie “Blue Jasmine”. We think the atypical silhouette and embroidered details make this a winning look.
