The Legacy of Stern – Well-known for shooting American Vogue in the 1950s and 1960s, American fashion photographer Bert Stern has passed away at the age of 83. Stern’s most famous work are his images of the iconic actress Marilyn Monroe, shot just six weeks before her death. His work has been influential to many contemporary photographers of today with its simple yet poignant style. True Monica – Italian actress Monica Bellucci looks radiant in a Dolce & Gabbana beauty campaign lensed for her namesake line, “True Monica”. The images were photographed by Giampaolo Sgura and showcase Monica in a rustic, garden setting wearing black lace looks and a feminine updo. The summer collection includes an eye palette, lipstick and an eyeliner shade.
Russian Rose – It might be Luxure Magazine’s summer issue, but Ranya Mordanova looks ready for next spring in this stylish spread. Yossi Michaeli snapped the Russian bombshell in a manicured country garden for the English glossy’s new fashion feature. Ice Cream Lady – Amber Gray captures a beauty story featuring all pastel looks for the July issue of Marie Claire China. The dreamy shoot stars model Marcelina Sowa, clad in bright looks from the spring collections of Louis Vuitton, Prabal Gurung and Giambattista Valli amongst others styled by Yana Kamps. Candice’s Dark Side – After showing up as a platinum blonde at a recent event, Candice Swanepoel goes to the other side of the spectrum with brunette tresses for Blumarine’s fall 2013 campaign film. In the video, the South African beauty works it in the label’s eastern inspired designs. The autumn advertisements were shot by Swedish photographer Camilla Akrans. According to Blumarine designer Anna Molinari, “Candice perfectly embodies my idea of the Blumarine woman.”
Kate in Saint Laurent – Supermodel Kate Moss made an appearance at the Serpentine Gallery Summer Party held yesterday in London. The British beauty opted for a Saint Laurent jacket and dress paired with Christian Louboutin shoes.
Natural Explosion – Heather Marks graces the June 22nd issue of Spanish weekly, S Moda looking ready for summer with a floral headpiece. David Roemer (Atelier Management) lenses the Canadian model in a mix of colorful prints and bold beauty looks with styling by Chabela Garcia. Meet the Cast – Prada has a multi-girl cast for its fall 2013 campaign starring Christy Turlington, Freja Beha Erichsen, Catherine McNeil, Fei Fei Sun, Amanda Murphy, Caroline de Maigret and Malaika Firth. Steven Meisel lensed the mix of established and rising stars in a set of grungy looking portraits. The women evoke a certain sensuousness in the layered autumn looks styled by Olivier Rizzo.
Life’s a Beach – A bevy of beauties lazes about on beach towels in this month’s edition of Elle Singapore. Fashion photographer Joel Lim snapped the images of retro-styled models Sveta M, Adau M, Klaudia K, and Juliano A. Model as Muse – Stuart Weitzman taps Kate Moss once again for its fall 2013 campaign. The styling and autumn collection is inspired by the supermodel’s own street style. The simple black and white photos were lensed by Mario Testino and feature thigh high boots, menswear inspired Chelsea shoes and combat boots. “I enjoyed working with Stuart Weitzman again this season to showcase his fabulous fall boots,” says Kate Moss. “Shooting the campaign with Mario is always fun and, with such a great team, it really doesn’t feel like work.”
