Edita is one amazing talent. When she does an editorial she goes all out, doesn’t she?

  2. Stunning, but I completely agree Camilla referenced Mert & Marcus with lighting and saturation. Originality pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

looks nothing like her work, I agree with others: Mert& Marcus for Interview would have sounded more true.

Umm..Camilla’s whole career is one giant M&M rip…
They even sued her over it!
She is a good photographer though

I mean, at the same time, you could easily make the argument that M&M’s career is one big Guy Bourdin rip, no?

I’m sorry, but just because someone uses bright colour doesn’t mean they are copying M+M.

No one owns colour. I very much doubt M+M sued Akrans since their career has been built on very closely copying other photographers.

True, but it’s much more than just “bright colours”. It’s composition, posing of the model, angle, environment where the photo was shot, lens choice, color correction techniques, color “palette”, props and accessories, etc. – after examining all of these things you can see that Akrans has studied M&M to a tee, and in certain cases blatantly copied certain shoots of theirs. But I’m not faulting her for this – all great artists copy from other artists. It happens in music, literature, film, painting, etc, and photography is no different. M&M frequently copy Guy Bourdin and Helmut Newton, so I think it’s all good… :)

No mater how you look at the picture, say that it’s inspired from M&M is so hilarious, I don’t think that Camilla have to copy these guys to make it great! A picture taken by Camilla will always be more sensual, erotic, romantic!

Oh, by the way, there’s a picture missing, besides it’s a gorgeous one in black and white, I have this issue so if Joanna wants it, I’m there =)
