Kicking off haute couture week, Atelier Versace’s fall 2016 runway show embraced feminine draping and volume. Donatella Versace’s vision for the new season featured kimono style jackets with belted waists and satin sashes. The Versace woman’s ultra-glamazon persona was still in full view with high hemlines and form-fitting silhouettes. A color palette of creamy pastel lavenders, sage, sky blue and sea foam green standout against black and burgundy. In addition to the sculptural shapes; sequins, folds or fringe adorn each look.
