There is no doubt that the 1980s was a huge influence on fashion this year. During the fall 2009 season, we saw the ’80s staples of exaggerated silhouettes, neon bright colors, and menswear-inspired pieces from the likes of Dolce & Gabbana and Marc Jacobs. And eighties makeup was also a stand-out with heavy blush and dramatic eyeshadow. This translated into print in sometimes subtle and other times not-so-subtle ways.
