Earlier today, we got a first look at the Louis Vuitton fall campaign featuring Christy Turlington, Natalia Vodianova and Karen Elson. Shot by Steven Meisel, the trio primps and preens in a 1950s style backstage area surrounded by retro shoes and glowing lights. Styled by Karl Templer in the same feminine spirit of the runway show, the three decades of top models that range from their 20s to their 40s prove that you can be beauty and success can come at any age.

    • OK, I admit I just came for the photoshop disasters, but you get all gushy over a fricking PONYTAIL? Wow. Just, wow.

  4. Hideous photoshopping work that is below the standards of all of the players in this shoot. Was nobody paying attention?

  7. In the photo with natalia in the middle with the purple bag on the right corner, is it just my eyes, or is the mirror image of natalia’s body position different? Her hand is on her breast but in the mirror her hand is on her lap…

I like the campaign, but i have not liked louis vuitton collections for a while now, marc jacobs is not a genius.

  9. The second last picture is so wrong. The reflection of the brunette on our left makes no sense.
I bet they pay tens of thousands of dollars to get these photos retouched.. and THIS is what they look like?
    How unprofessional!

  12. I understand the whole "womanly appreciation" of the whole collection, but I hate what some of these dresses do to the boobs! Just look at Christy in the first pic… if her dress's purpose is for his women's breasts hanging out for the world to see, he has succeeded!

I really can't comprehend the obsession with this campaign…Meisel is brilliant, but I wouldn't call this one of his greatest feats.
Overall, the shots are busy, dull in color, and the fact that boobs are popping out all over the place is giving me the creeps.

..what happened to youthful and fun Louis V?

  15. Pretty insightfull post. Never thought that it was this uncomplicated after all. I have spent a good deal of my time looking for someone to explain this topic clearly and you’re the only person that ever did that. Thanks a lot! Keep it up!
