Colors of the Rainbow – Following up the video preview last week, House of Holland unveiled it’s first resort collection today starring Eliza Cummings in rainbow brights. Inspired by ’90s style, designer Henry Holland juxtaposes stripes, floral and skull prints for a fun yet savvy result. From asymmetrical cuts to floor length skirts, the House of Holland girl is a true world wide woman.
Ferretti’s Clean Resort – Alberta Ferretti takes a detour from feminine dresses for a more relaxed and bohemian look for her resort 2012 collection. With crisp whites and bold hues of blue, red and turquoise, the Ferretti woman sports explosive patterns and loose-fitting trousers reminiscent of ’70s sportswear for an elegant yet wearable look.
Lovely Philosophy – Alberta Ferretti’s Philosophy collection finds a mature tone for the resort season with tailored pants, lace embellishments and nautical motifs in the form of stripes and navy. Modeled by Frida Aasen and Tali Lennox, lightweight outerwear and frilly dresses play to the little girl in us all.
Masculine Resort – Richard Chai brings a low-key androgynous appeal to the resort 2012 season with his “Love” collection. Slouchy silhouettes and men’s style dress shoes offset ultra-feminine patterns of florals and dots. Pilotto’s New Resort – Entering into the resort arena for the first season, designers Peter Pilotto and Christopher de Vos take tribal prints and vibrant colors to new heights for Peter Pilotto’s pre-spring collection. Looking at the dresses, it is clear that the Pilotto woman isn’t a wallflower with the explosions of color and print inspired by the artworks of Walter Leblanc. Paired with futuristic and structured shapes–the bright yellows, crimson reds and tranquil blues allude to sunny bliss for the resort season.
Bally Keeps It Simple – Bally’s pre-spring collection looks towards the simpler things in life with minimal silhouettes, color blocking and a strong focus on leather. Bohemian Resort – Anna Sui’s latest collection for the resort 2012 season showcases the designer’s bohemian dresses with casual appeal. Modeled by Jacquelyn Jablonski, the relaxed attire features details of fringe, bows, sequins and ruching paired with flirty silhouettes.
