Styled by Edward Enninful, beauties Ajak Deng, Joan Smalls, Jourdan Dunn, Arlenis Sosa, Chanel Iman and Anais Mali give high energy performances in colorful looks from the likes of Oscar de la Renta, Roberto Cavalli and Yves Saint Laurent alongside celebrity subjects.

  1. i love that black models are finally being used,but would it be so hard to ever put them together with models of other races?

    • I would agree with that, for sure, in general, but I think this shoot was supposed to celebrate black models and culture.
      But definitely, especially with the statistic released that the 2011 seasons were the least diverse since 2008, we need to see more than just a few select editorials and runways with black, and other-than-white, models.

  4. Joan Smalls is Puerto Rican, Arlenis Sosa is Dominican – Anna Wintour made a blunder in the past, calling Joan Smalls (Hispanic) and Jourdan Dunn (British) African American. It’s great to see these girls in magazines, but dialogue about race and ethnicity needs to be more thoughtful, and models ‘of color’ need to stop being ghetto-ized/segregated. C’mon now …
