Sometimes the idea can’t be realized with using a still camera. The whole point of this campaign is to capture an odd, funny, and natural moment. With stills it would feel forced in this type of shoot. The video is fun and to keep the same mood stills were pulled. Don’t get too wrapped up on the technical things and just feel the picture.
And yes sometimes there isn’t an unlimited budget so you have to find the best solution to the problem. Look at this season’s campaigns. Are any of them really memorable? At least we’re talking about this one, so I guess it succeeded.

  1. Fun! I think its supposed to look like those WII dancing games…we are the tv and that is why they look slightly uncomfortable and serious, they are just trying to follow the moves. I love Albert at the end just pushing the guys aside like a little brother wanting to take over!

  3. AMAZING.  brilliantly done and so fabulously tongue in cheek.  Seems the creative director’s vision was a success.  To see so many people comment on this whether you think it’s good or bad EVERYONE is talking about it.
