Stuart Vevers was in a sporty mood for Coach 1941’s fall-winter 2016 collection presented during New York Fashion Week. With a runway setting that mimicked a school gymnasium, Vevers highlighted the varsity jacket for the new season. Adorned with different graphics and symbols, the Coach woman layers her oversized jacket with a short A-line skirt and collard top for sixties vibes. There were plenty of other outerwear options as well—long parkas, shearling coats and an occasional naval style trench popped up on the runway. When it came to bags, Vevers offered small carryalls, oversized gym style bags and crossbody styles embellished with hardware and animal graphics.
