The Prestige – Following up its fall campaign, French fashion house Chanel releases a series of eyewear advertisements for its Prestige Collection. Karl Lagerfeld photographed rising stars Nadja Bender and Ashleigh Good in the black and white snaps. The duo looks nerdy chic with greased hair, white button-up t-shirts and oversized frames.
Lindsey Lands Chanel – American beauty Lindsey Wixson is set to be the next star of Chanel’s upcoming spring 2014 advertising campaign. According to WWD, the Kansas-born model was photographed by creative director Karl Lagerfeld at Chanel’s Rue Cambon studio. This isn’t the first time Lindsey has worked with Lagerfeld; she walks the Chanel shows quite frequently, appears in films for the brand and also starred in the fall 2012 advertisements.
Chanel Beauty – Face of Chanel cosmetics, Jac Jagaciak, is back once again for a new round of beauty advertisements from the fashion brand. The Polish beauty first gets expressive in Chanel’s “Makeup Revelations” portraits. “Revelations” is inspired by the concept of secret sharing, and Jac certainly looks like she has something to share as she poses in front of a mirror. She also appears in the new Vitalumière Compact Douceur ad featured below.
Virtual Sanity – The fall 2013 campaign from Chanel enlists Soo Joo, Chiharu Okunugi and Ashleigh Good for a series of futuristic-themed portraits photographed by the brand’s creative director, Karl Lagerfeld. The trio poses–even sometimes floating with their accessories in tow for the French fashion house’s trademark tweeds, lean silhouettes and camellia flower accents.
Chanel’s Artful Spring – Art and fashion. Often the two intertwine and for Chanel’s spring 2014 collection, Karl Lagerfeld incorporated the idea of fashion as art into an outing boasting of many colors. Paying homage to the house’s signature tweed skirt suits, Lagerfeld offered variegated textures with color-blocking aspects almost like a painter’s swatch. The Chanel woman’s accessories were similarly art minded with large bags evoking the look of a painter’s portfolio while other bags featured the Chanel logos “painted” on. Even the models’ makeup reflected a creative attitude; eyeshadow was multi-colored matching the collection’s rainbow-like palette.
Autumn Darling – Doutzen Kroes graces the September issue of Vogue Netherlands, marking her fifth Vogue cover of the year. The Dutch Victoria’s Secret model was photographed by Paul Bellaart and styled by Jetteke van Lexmond for the new issue which was shot on location in Mesopotamia. On the cover, Doutzen looks ethereal in a white Chanel dress.
Where Beauty Begins – After revealing the beauty campaign last month, Chanel shares a video spot starring Chanel Cosmetics face Diane Kruger. The actress and style star exudes ease and self-confidence in a film showing her doing everyday things such as walking the city streets, chatting at a cafe and posing on the beach.
