E.T. A Tale of Friendship and Loss–A fashion spread inspired by E.T.? If any magazine was to do it, CR Fashion Book seems like a good choice. Editor-in-Chief Carine Roitfeld calls it her favorite fantasy “because it makes [her] cry.” Lindsey Wixson (who also appears on the issue’s cover) stars alongside Magda Laguinge in some out of the world fashions from the spring collections of Miu Miu, Christopher Kane, Givenchy and more styled by Roitfeld. In Love – For the November issue of Harper’s Bazaar US, the magazine enlists their global fashion director Carine Roitfeld for a “Romeo & Juliet” inspired story featuring models in love. Adriana Lima and singer Tyson Ritter, Miranda Kerr and Garrett Neff, Tao Okamoto and Brad Kroenig, Magda Laguinge and Corey Baptiste, Irina Shayk and Simon Van Meervenne, Bar Refaeli and Matt Terry, and Lindsey Wixson and Clement Chabernaud amongst others couple up in the romantic images photographed by Max von Gumppenberg and made with the creative direction of Stephen Gan.

“Mademoiselle C” poster featuring Carine Roitfeld
With the release of Carine Roitfeld’s highly buzzed “Mademoiselle C” documentary arriving on September 11th, we recently had an opportunity to interview the director of the film, Fabien Constant. He told us about what we can expect from the documentary (see the trailer here) and what it was like filming the former Vogue Paris editor-in-chief as she worked on the first issue of fashion bible, CR Fashion Magazine. On the most surprising thing when filming:
Constant tells us that what surprised him the most filming was how much Carine worked and how involved she is in her work despite being one of the biggest stylists in the industry. He elaborates, “she is very busy, always working”. He goes on to tell us that she has very few assistants.
Mademoiselle C – Former Vogue Paris editor-in-chief Carine Roitfeld has a new documentary coming out which chronicles the behind-the-scenes of the inaugural issue of her bi-annual, CR Fashion Book. Not only does it reveal the inner workings of her professional life but also her personal life such as becoming a grandmother. The film includes appearances from fashion stars including Riccardo Tisci, Tom Ford, Sarah Jessica Parker and Karl Lagerfeld. Watch the trailer below.
Singular Beauties – Harper’s Bazaar US’ Global Fashion Director Carine Roitfeld collaborated with Karl Lagerfeld on a new shoot for the glossy’s September issue. The editorial features a diverse range of women including actresses Scarlett Johansson and Dakota Fanning as well as models like Lily Donaldson, Karen Elson and Carmen Dell’Orefice, Liya Kebede. The story will appear in the September issue of all 29 editions of the magazine, also including the premiere Germany and Japan editions, both on newsstands in September.

Spell it Out – Rising star Ashleigh Good is the latest model to front Max Mara’s advertisements, appearing in the fall 2013 campaign from the Italian label. Mario Sorrenti snapped the New Zealand beauty in a set of images including oversized letters in the background. Carine Roitfeld styled the model in looks from the autumn season ranging from Max Mara’s signature outerwear to slouchy pajama pants.
Family Matter – For Givenchy’s spring 2013 campaign, Riccardo Tisci tapped model Maricarla Boscono and her daughter Marialucas. Now for fall 2013, the label enlists another fashion family–superstar stylist Carine Roitfeld and her daughter Julia Restoin Roitfeld. The mother and daughter pose for Mert & Marcus in the autumn advertisements which also star Amanda Seyfried and Dalianah Arekion.
Amanda’s Givenchy Moment – After being named the face of the brand’s “Very Irresistible” fragrance, Amanda Seyfried stars in the fall 2013 campaign from Givenchy. The American actress poses for Mert & Marcus wearing a moody expression and the new season’s bold prints. Models Dalianah Arekion (pictured above) and Mariano Ontaño also appear in the campaign as well as Carine Roitfeld (who also styled the fall advertisements) and her daughter Julia Restoin Roitfeld.
