Why Have Animal Prints Remained Trendy?

Animal prints have been at the height of fashion for quite a while now, and it is no surprise why. They’re a fun use of patterns based on animals in the natural world and can be altered to emulate animal patterns realistically. The most common animal print used in clothing and decoration is probably leopard print because of its interesting and dynamic patterning. However, also commonly worn are snakeskin prints, zebra prints, and even cow prints.

This article explains in more detail why Animal Prints are perennially trendy, but if you’re seeking a new pattern for your wardrobe, here are a couple of reasons why going with an animal print is a no-brainer.

They Can Either Be Subtle or Bold

Firstly, animal prints can be quite bold, or equally, they can be pretty subtle, depending on the color and pattern you go for. For instance, most animal prints are based on monochrome or brown tones in their natural coloring, which makes them quite subtle even though they’re patterned. However, some shops alter the traditional animal prints’ colors to make them brighter and eye-catching, such as making the leopard print bright green or a snakeskin print an orange color. This way, they can vary from being quite smart and used in professional clothing, or they can be made more casual or suitable for going on a night out.

They Are Good for Festivals

Animal prints are amazing for festivals, and you could even go so far as to pair them together to wear multiple animal prints in the same outfit. Festivals are an event that you can wear pretty much anything to without judgment, so they are the perfect time to bring those bright animal prints out of the cupboard. Wearing bright clothing to festivals is always good for practical reasons too – they can be pretty big and chaotic, so wearing something eye-catching is smart to avoid getting lost.

They’re Easy to Pair with Other Clothes

When looking for outfits to pair together, animal prints often slot in very easily. They’re easy to pair with other clothes – particularly if you go for the more neutral-colored prints. Their natural color schemes can be easily paired with pretty much all other colors – a pair of denim jeans and a leopard print top would work perfectly together. They also add a great pop to an otherwise boring outfit – for example, you could be wearing all black with an animal print bag, and your outfit is immediately more interesting. Additionally, because of their structured patterns, animal prints often make it look like you have put a lot of effort into an outfit, even if you haven’t necessarily done this.

This summer or this winter, why not try out an animal print? You could begin with a more subtle print and then venture out into something more colorful or eccentric. They’re perfect for all times of the year and will make you feel like you’ve stepped right out of a film set.
