Valentino’s pre-fall 2023 campaign, dubbed Urban Riviera, is a celebration of effortless glamour and laid-back luxury. Shot by fashion photographer Steven Meisel, the images exude a cruise-inspired mood with designs by Pierpaolo Piccioli.

In the images, models strike expressive poses in a studio setting, showcasing the collection’s standout pieces. Blazers, jackets, skirts, Rockstud bags, and knitwear form the core of the collection, with a cruise aesthetic running throughout. The Valentino looks are brought to life by vivid colors, rich textures, and timeless patterns such as stripes and polka dots.
The styling by Joe McKenna is impeccable, with each Valentino pre-fall 2023 outfit forming a harmonious whole. The team behind the campaign is a veritable who’s who of fashion industry heavyweights. Hair stylist Guido Palau and makeup artist Pat McGrath work their magic to give the models a polished look.
