Self-Portrait unveils its first bag collection and spotlights the Bow bag with a campaign starring Naomi Campbell. The iconic model poses for photos that are reminiscent of the 1990s. More specifically, the images pay homage to Brandy and Monica’s hit R&B song ‘The Boy is Mine’. Renell Medrano took the photographs, and it shows the British beauty posing with mini and micro versions of the handbags.

When thinking about how to launch the Bow Bag, I was feeling quite nostalgic and reflective of the past and kept being drawn to the nineties, an era when fashion was sweet yet tough, and heavily influenced by music. The origins for this campaign came from such a simple idea born out of a play on words with the name of our new bag.Han Chong, Self-Portrait Founder
The bag is accessorized by the fashion stylist Haley Wollens with shimmering separates, chic knitwear, and figure-hugging dresses. Rio Sreedharan adds the finishing touches to Naomi Campbell’s look by working on her long, dark tresses, and Angloma works on makeup.
