Marking his first outing as Saint Laurent’s creative director, Anthony Vaccarello turned up the sex appeal for his brand’s spring-summer 2017 runway presentation. On the heels of the news that Vaccarello would be putting his eponymous label on hold to focus on the brand, the Italian-Belgian designer showcased an outing which including high hemlines and plunging necklines.
80’s inspired puffed sleeves and strong shoulders were a focal point on the runway as were slouchy “boyfriend” style denim. Skin was in as Vaccarello showcased sheer lace fabrics and even a pasty worn by Binx Walton. Saint Laurent’s signature tailoring was reworked in jumpsuits, sleeveless jackets and slim-fit pants.
