  1. She looks lovely, yes, but her (lack) modeling ability and Lagerfeld’s (bleh) photography skills do not mix to perfection. Its nice, yes, will is sell the product? Probably. But there’s nothing special about it nothing fantastasmal to catch the eye! Lagerfeld should learn from Terry Richardson if he continues to photograph. Get the best models you can to make whatever amazing there could possibly be with your not so great eye for photos.

  2. I agree that this campaign is less than spectacular…. but Karl Lagerfeldt learning photography from Terry Richardson, that’s the most ridiculous statement!

Sure, Terry has done some great shoots, but also A LOT of terrible ones. Karl learning photography skills from him… I sure hope not.

    • No, no. I didn’t mean lessons from Terry personally, but some of Terry’s best shoots are with the best of models. Which is why I said that Karl should hired the best of models, which he could easily do, which would improve the photographs all that much more.

      • yeah, maybe you should email karl and let him know your expert advice. cause i’m sure you have a lot to offer with your very important suggestion.

    • I agree. There’s not enough personality here. A good photographer knows how to bring this out of a model.

      • dude is 80 years old. will you be doing so many things by 80 so some nobody can critique you behind a computer screen and anonymous persona on some website?

  3. i like Blake, but the fashion industry in love with her? i reeeeally don’t understand. she could be promoting Victoria’s Secrets, than i could understand (i also like VS, just saying)
Leighton Meester is SO – MUCH – MORE worthy than her. and look, i’m not crazy about her carachter Blair in GG or anything to saying this. but in modeling (she was a professional model) and representing high fashion labels, i mean, seriously, Leighton >>>>> Blake.
so what if she is blond, tall and has a great hair? her “””natural””” beauty still is too much comercial, “californian chick washing boyfriend’s car sunday afternoon”, not a Chanel girl at all.

    • when designers shoot celebs for their campaigns they are relating to the celebrities’ lives. Leighton Meester dresses in hideous super trendy (non-classic and unflattering )red carpet ensembles. She has a super cheesy pop career. She has a freakin’ sex tape people! How could she ever be a “chanel” type of girl?

  4. Karl please go home! Please please please… Put the camera down and go home. Go. Please. Home. You. Go. Please. No camera for you. Please. Home. Go.

  6. Hmmm. unfortunately, while I love Chanel, I’m not loving this campaign. Looks like the yellows have been desaturated and reds added back in. We all know she’s blonde, so it seems a little odd. The video was extremely disappointing as well, doesn’t make much sense.

  7. models trying to act rarely works out (cough, rosie in transformers, cough)…. and this proves the flipside doesn’t work either… how about we let the models model eh?
