Jacobs Leaves Vuitton – With rumors swirling around for the past few months, LVMH has now confirmed that Marc Jacobs has presented his last collection with Louis Vuitton for the spring 2014 season. WWD reports that the American designer is leaving to focus on taking his brand public on the stock market. The new creative director has yet to be named, but former Balenciaga designer Nicolas Ghesquière has been one name speculated as Jacobs’ successor.

Anderson at Loewe – Irish designer J.W. Anderson has been named as the new creative director at Spanish brand Loewe. This comes right after the news that LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton has funded his namesake label. Anderson launched his label in 2008, and at 29 years-old he has been slated as a young designer to watch for a few years now. Loewe is known for its leather goods with past campaign stars featuring Penelope Cruz, Mariacarla Boscono and Kate Moss. (NYT)

The contest is open to aspiring designers across the globe no matter the age, experience or location. The winning design will be judged by a panel of popular design bloggers. Pilotto for Target – Peter Pilotto is the next designer label to collaborate with Target. This comes hot off the heels of 3.1 Phillip Lim’s Target line which hit stores just yesterday on September 15th. The London-based design team behind the label, Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos, are known for their colorful prints and futuristic silhouettes. Good news to international fans, this is the first designer collaboration from Target to be released internationally. Net-a-Porter will carry the line on its online store. The new collection will be available on February 9th, 2014. Check out the teaser video below.

New Judges for The Face – Naomi Campbell is getting some new co-workers for the upcoming second season of the modeling reality competition series, “The Face” from Oxygen. Russian model Anne Vyalitsyna and American model and heiress Lydia Hearst join the cast. Vyalitsyna is known for her work with “Sports Illustrated”, DKNY and Chanel while Hearst has appeared on the cover of Vogue Italia, Numero and other notable fashion glossies. The new season of “The Face” is scheduled to premiere in early 2014 with ten episodes.

Calling All Designers – “Project Runway” is currently casting for its 13th season and designer hopefuls can have the chance to win a $100,000 prize and show at New York Fashion Week. The fashion reality competition series is hosted by Heidi Klum and includes Marie Claire creative director Nina Garcia and designer Zac Posen on the judging panel.
