Baroque Opulence – For the latest Chanel eyewear collection, creative director Karl Lagerfeld found inspiration in the baroque opulence of costume jewelry worn by founder Coco Chanel. The new “Bijou” collection features ornate metalwork, in feminine and sophisticated shapes including butterfly and cat eye frames. A varied color palette in shades of palladium, limpid blue and celadon green; offer a contrast to the classic craftsmanship. The “Bijou” collection is available in Chanel stores this November.

Versailles Luxury – Inspired by 18th century French aristocracy, the cruise 2013 collection from Chanel holds on to that luxe influence for new campaign images starring Saskia de Brauw and Cara Delevingne. Creative director Karl Lagerfeld lenses the pair in a gold and opulent boudoir setting showcasing the cruise season’s voluminous, pleated skirts and tweed jackets.
Chanel Girl – British actress Kaya Scodelario dons Chanel’s resort 2013 collection for a recent feature in French publication, Crash. Captured by Jermaine Francis, Kaya sports wet tresses, luminous skin and a punk attitude in the Versailles collection styled by Kimi O’Neill.
The Lightness of Spring – Model Stef van der Laan is tapped for Chanel’s spring 2013 press kit images featuring designer Karl Lagerfeld’s own take on boleros and “dress-skirts”. A color palette of black, white and dreamy pastels set the tone for the new season which plays with proportions and shapes. Tweed jackets are accessorized with ivory pearls either in the shape of jewelry or embroidered detailing. The Chanel woman’s outfit is complete with two-tone sandals and petite handbags.
Tweed Touch – The fall 2012 eyewear campaign from Chanel stars French actress and director Maïwenn, lensed by Karl Lagerfeld. Maïwenn wears minimal makeup with undone hair in the studio portraits showcasing a focus on tweed. Each eyewear style features tweed bands in five shades including authentic green, British brown, iconic black and white and deep blue. The new eyewear collection is available this October in Chanel boutiques.
Poise and Passion – British actress and star of the film “Anna Karenina”, Keira Knightley, graces the October issue of Vogue US. Wearing pieces from the fall haute couture collections (including Chanel on the cover), Keira poses for Mario Testino’s lens with styling by fashion editor Grace Coddington.
