British actress Daisy Ridley is about to become a major star with the release of ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ on December 18. Before then, Daisy poses for the December 2015 cover story from ELLE US, looking worlds away from her utilitarian attire in the film while wearing a glittering Giorgio Armani Privé dress.

In her interview, Daisy talks about how her character of Rey is a different type of role model. “[Rey is] so strong. She’s cool and smart and she can look after herself. Young girls can look at her and know that they can wear trousers if they want to,” Ridley says. “That they don’t have to show off their bodies.”
