Frida Gustavsson by Andreas Öhlund for Elle Sweden

Frida About Town – Frida Gustavsson stars in a story of forties fashion for the November issue of Elle Sweden lensed by Andreas Öhlund. Wearing the pristine frocks of Miu Miu, Dolce & Gabbana, Marc Jacobs and others styled by fashion editor Linda Lindqwister, Frida spends a day of carefree exploration with retro curls by Erika Svedjevik and autumn makeup by Katarina Håkansson.

There is something about these images that is so real. I cant figure out but Frida never felt so present…absolutely adore this.

About the vogue story with Barbara, has the same references but this is soooooo much more beautiful!!!!

Do they keep using the same hair stylist for anyone who models the FW ’11 Miu Miu collection? (see Barbara Palvin and Hailee Steinfeld) I like it but it gets pretty boring after the third time around.

Never seen Frida look so perfect as she does here. Can anyone ID the dress in the last photograph? Beyond stunning.

she’s a true beauty, but childish – these clothes should be worn by a real woman with some curves.

So she is a fake woman because she is not that curvy? That sounds ignorant ol.

Childish? I disagree. I think Frida is perfect for this kind of shoot because she has sharp, more mature facial features, womanly rather than girlish. In the fourth shot, Frida effortlessly channels 1940s glamour, reminding me rather of Ava Gardner or Gene Tierney.
