Emma Watson for Lancôme "Trésor Midnight Rose" Fragrance by Mario Testino

Midnight Rose – Emma Watson stars as the face of Lancôme’s “Trésor Midnight Rose” fragrance campaign shot by Mario Testino. The British actress recently signed on as ambassador of the beauty giant, and this is the first advertisement with Ms. Watson. Look under the cut for the mini film showcasing Emma in a romantic Parisian affair. (Lancome, Telegraph UK)

I love Emma Watson, really. But she’s popping up all over the place recently, it is quite tiring. Otherwise, the photograph is quite good and the video is adorable, yet classic Emma.

For me she has not got the charisma as a grown woman yet to carry off any perfume campaign. She isn’t an icon not yet anyway and not to me, and certainly not a woman I aspire to be like or even look like.
Someone like Sophie Marceau and isabella Rossellini were justified icons to be in a famous campaign. Am french so am biased to loving Sophie, she is a treasure to us.

She looks like a little girl playing dress up still. And this film is 3 or 4 times too long. The still is more successful.
