Fallen Angels – Sølve Sundsbø photographs some of the season’s most ethereal looks with these stunning images featured in the December issue of Vogue China. With Cara Delevingne as an angel on earth, fashion editor Nicoletta Santoro selects a wardrobe of ivory gowns from labels such as Versace, Givenchy Dior and Alexander McQueen to complement the otherworldly landscape. / Makeup by Polly Osmond, Hair by Shon

This is the most exquisite and ethereal editorial I’ve seen in a long time. Solve always creates this sort of dream like quality and fluidity within his images that are simply breathtaking.

I don’t see anything new or interesting here. I love Cara for Burberry Prorsum, but I think she falls short in this editorial. And the styling is so predictable; I’d like to see a little more imagination.

I really like some, but a whole series there is too little variation (just my taste), I think this angelic soft style is very pretty and nice but for a whole thing too predictable…

This looks very surreal. The only thing I don’t like is that the model looks so much like Natasha Poly but it’s not, and that some of the shots make it hard to see the clothes.

I think it’s pretty wonderful actually. Ethereal, dreamy effect. The photographer chose an idea & committed to it. Based on some of the above (not so comments)…ya gotta admit…any one of you know you’d love just one of these shots in your portfolio! 🙂 I know I would.

I don’t find Cara particularly breathtaking or angelic in this…? The photography and editing are amazing, though. That closeup is great.
