The world renowned photographer Annie Leibovitz is the target of Kanye West’s latest rant. After photographing him and his new bride’s (none other than Kim Kardashian) Vogue cover, he asked her to shoot their wedding reports The Cut. According to Kanye, she ended up backing out the day before and the photographs (such as the one above) were taken by someone else. Why wouldn’t one of the world’s most famous photographers want to shoot the #worldsmosttalkedaboutwedding? Kanye is convinced it’s because she is “afraid of celebrity”.
That’s right—the rapper that is known for never being shy with his thoughts, is taking on another figure. Leibovitz is widely known for shooting Vogue covers featuring major celebrities, campaigns with the likes of Taylor Swift and Jessica Chastain, casts of the most infamous television shows of our time, and the list goes on and on. So we think it’s safe to say that Leibovitz fully embraces celebrity in this case.
However, the image featured above ended up being the most popular image on Instagram ever with over 2,000,000 likes and 35,000 comments. We guess it turned out fine after all.
