Versace Fall 2014–Donatella Versace aimed for a cleaned up and simplified outing with Versace’s fall-winter 2014 collection. The Italian fashion house’s revamped look certainly did not mean a doing away of its trademarked sensuality. Versace presented bias cut dresses for a body-conscious look featuring glimpses of skin. Elsewhere, the fall season embraces military inspired ornaments embellished over coats, on top of dresses as well as slim-cut pantsuits. The rock and roll, party girl spirit came out in the form of short mini dresses decorated with sparkles and studs galore.
Versace Woman–Following up the accessories campaign featuring Lady Gaga, Italian fashion house Versace releases its mainline spring-summer 2014 advertisements featuring Anna Ewers. The Germah model has been on fire lately with work for Prada and Alexander Wang. The Versace images were photographed by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott with styling by Joe McKenna. We selected some choice quotes from the interview below, but you can check out the full feature on Style.
On what makes Kate’s Playboy shoot different than the magazine’s other spread:
Marcus Piggott: “She’s dressed more than the girls in most Playboy editorials. It was a bit of a striptease. We wanted to leave a little bit to the imagination, and we wanted the reader to get excited imagining what’s underneath. But there are a lot of crazy pictures that you haven’t seen…”

Versace x Anthony Vaccarello – Following up collaborations with Christopher Kane and JW Anderson, Versace has decided to team up for a collection of ready-to-wear and accessories with Belgian designer Anthony Vaccarello. The 31-year-old launched his label in 2008 and won the ANDAM Award in 2012. Vaccarello’s aesthetic is described as very sexy with a focus on body conscious designs. “Anthony’s clothes have everything that I love: they are sensual, dynamic, daring. He is a natural, and has the confidence and talent to push fashion where he wants it and where it is relevant for today’s women. I can’t wait to collaborate with him, and to see Versus Versace through his eyes,” says Donatella Versace about the collection.

Lady Gaga in Versace Prints – After starring in the Versace’s spring 2014 campaign, pop star Lady Gaga wore the Italian brand at the 2013 Jingle Bell Ball held in London earlier today. The custom made print pantsuit was paired with a flashy gold necklace, also from Versace. Gaga rocked a mop of blonde dreadlocks to go with the colorful look.
Gaga for Versace, Take Two – This weekend, we featured the first initial picture of Versace’s spring 2014 campaign starring Lady Gaga. Now, the Italian fashion house has released another image from the advertising campaign shot by Mert & Marcus. In the photo, Gaga can be seen flaunting the new Palazzo bag all the while looking like Donatella Versace with long blonde hair and a tan. “I am honoured that my friend Lady Gaga is the face of our new Versace campaign. I wanted to capture her true beauty and spirit in images that are elegant and alluring. She is like family to me, the embodiment of the Versace DNA,” Donatella says about the move.

Gaga as Donatella – Earlier this month, the news was released that Lady Gaga would star as the face of Versace’s spring 2014 campaign. Now, thanks to the Instagram of Mert Alas from Mert & Marcus who shot the advertisements, we have a first look at the pop star in action. Lady Gaga is no doubt channeling Donatella Versace, wearing a long blonde wig and a sexy cut-away gown from Versace’s spring-summer 2014 line. It’s definitely a change from some of her whackier looks she has become famous for. Gaga also wrote a song for the designer called “Donatella” on her new album ARTPOP.

Gaga’s New Campaign – Pop star Lady Gaga is set to appear in the spring 2014 advertisements from Versace, WWD has reported. According to the news site, the “Artpop” star was photographed in London by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott for the new campaign. This is not Versace’s first collaboration with a celebrity. Past appearances by celebrities in campaigns include January Jones, Halle Berry, Demi Moore and Madonna.
Throwback Versace – Kate Moss and Gisele Bundchen. A combination made in (supermodel) heaven. For Versace’s spring-summer 2009 campaign, the Italian fashion brand tapped the two leading models for a shoot captured waterside. Peruvian photographer Mario Testino shot Kate and Gisele for the super-glam advertisements. Both girls would go on to star in more campaigns for Versace, with Moss currently featured in the fall 2013 ads.
