Neon Resort – Michael Kors’ resort 2012 collection combines elegant designs with neon hues and animal prints. From high slit dresses to lightweight outerwear, the Kors woman is all about the juxtaposition of style and functionality with loose-fitting silhouettes, cropped pants and swimwear.
The 30th anniversary and fall 2011 runway presentation from Michael Kors’ opened with a remixed version of Donna Summer’s seventies hit, “I Feel Love”. And indeed those in attendance were feeling the love for Michael Kors’ slinky silhouettes, luxe outwear and neutral hues. Continuing with the relaxed elegance from his spring collection, Kors’ accessories included wide cuffs for the neck and wrists and stylish bags.
Going for a more youthful and sexy approach, the spring 2011 campaign from Michael Kors goes to the blue waters and golden sun of California with models Karmen Pedaru and Simon Nessman. Bridging the gap between spring and fall, the pre-fall 2011 collection from Michael Kors juxtaposes easy silhouettes with bold color blocking. Light on prints, the line focuses on pleated skirts and leather accents. In addition to sophisticated shapes, a few pieces take on seductive drapes with high slits and sexy cut outs.
Setting the tone for the new season, the Michael Kors’ show opened with models Karmen Pedaru and Simon Nessman in matching outfits of relaxed white. And indeed it was a relaxed outing for the spring 2011 line, with models strolling down the runway in tones of browns, moss green and blue. Looks ranged from resort chic to downtown swank and once again reaffirmed the Kors’ woman as one of relaxed sophistication.
