Belgian designer and creator of the wrap dress Diane Von Furstenberg is getting a reality show which is set to launch on the E! Network soon, according to Fashionista. The show is a competition series a la “The Apprentice” which takes a look at the relationship between a boss and her employees. The eight contestants will be duking it out for a chance to become a Global Brand Ambassador for DVF. The ambassador is described as “an integral part of all major DVF divisions, this chosen ambassador will travel the world representing Diane and her business… if she makes all the right moves. ” Von Furstenberg recently celebrated her brand’s fortieth anniversary with her fall 2014 collection shown during New York Fashion Week. An air date has yet to be announced for the show, but watch this space for more information.
Diane von Furstenberg–A celebration of the wrap dress was what Diane von Furstenberg’s fall-winter 2014 collection offered at New York Fashion Week, and with good reason too. It is after all the designer’s fortieth anniversary of the iconic piece this year. With British model Karen Elson opening the show in a graphic black and white dress, the presentation than transitioned into an outing of prints and color. The DVF woman’s fall wardrobe features mid-length skirts, flirty tops and lush, fur accents in jovial jewel tones.
Daria for DVF–Returning for another season, Daria Werbowy fronts the spring-summer 2014 campaign from Diane von Furstenberg. Mikael Jansson shoots the new advertisements which feature Daria wearing the designer’s iconic wrap dresses as well as her handbags and accessories line. With a campaign season already featuring brands like Balenciaga and Mango, spring ’14 has been the Canadian’s moment.

It’s a Wrap – Diane von Furstenberg celebrated the fortieth anniversary of her iconic wrap dress with a feature in the February issue of Harper’s Bazaar US (photo above). Actress Gwyneth Paltrow wore a sexy, low-cut jumpsuit from DVF in black when attending the event on January 10th in Los Angeles, California. Gwyneth paired the look with a red lip and sleek, straight tresses.
DVF’s Glam Spring – Diane von Furstenberg delivered her version of femininity for her eponymous label’s spring 2014 runway show held earlier today during New York Fashion Week. While a lot of designers have been embracing minimalism this spring, Von Furstenberg played to her strengths; offering a pretty outing of summer-themed looks ranging from her iconic wrap dresses to relax jumpsuits and sheer shirts. Crop tops are a must for the DVF woman as well as accents of gold. Closing the show, supermodel Naomi Campbell wore a gleaming tribal print shift dress.
Bohemian Glam – Daria Werbowy channels her inner rock goddess for the fall 2013 advertisements from Diane von Furstenberg. The Canadian models hits the city streets in images photographed by Sebastian Faena at night. The brunette sports a wardrobe of bohemian regalia complete with animal prints, DVF’s signature wrap dresses and airy blouses.

Von Furstenberg’s Sensuous Fall – From the first look, it was clear that Diane von Furstenberg had a sensuous woman in mind for her fall 2012 collection with draping, body conscious shapes presented during her runway show earlier today. Elegant silhouettes and leather gloves dominated the runway with a color palette of black, red, teal and plum injecting some color into the new season. Von Furstenberg also embraced her signature print work which hinged on the surreal side with jigsaw like intensity. Autumn showcases a marriage between youthful seduction and ladylike sophistication in the form of clinging dresses layered underneath oversize coats.
Von Furstenberg’s Retro Revamp – Diane von Furstenberg was having a sixties moment for the spring 2012 season as models walked down the runway in beehives, color-rimmed glasses and low heel shoes. Von Furstenberg also delivered her signature prints–floral and circle motifs in merry hues of blue, yellow and green. Accessories included chic clutches, backpacks (a trend in New York Fashion Week thus far) and fringe.
