While a lot of designers have been embracing minimalism this spring, Von Furstenberg played to her strengths; offering a pretty outing of summer-themed looks ranging from her iconic wrap dresses to relax jumpsuits and sheer shirts. Crop tops are a must for the DVF woman as well as accents of gold. Closing the show, supermodel Naomi Campbell wore a gleaming tribal print shift dress.

Von Furstenberg’s Sensuous Fall – From the first look, it was clear that Diane von Furstenberg had a sensuous woman in mind for her fall 2012 collection with draping, body conscious shapes presented during her runway show earlier today. Elegant silhouettes and leather gloves dominated the runway with a color palette of black, red, teal and plum injecting some color into the new season. Von Furstenberg also embraced her signature print work which hinged on the surreal side with jigsaw like intensity. Autumn showcases a marriage between youthful seduction and ladylike sophistication in the form of clinging dresses layered underneath oversize coats.
Von Furstenberg’s Retro Revamp – Diane von Furstenberg was having a sixties moment for the spring 2012 season as models walked down the runway in beehives, color-rimmed glasses and low heel shoes. Von Furstenberg also delivered her signature prints–floral and circle motifs in merry hues of blue, yellow and green. Accessories included chic clutches, backpacks (a trend in New York Fashion Week thus far) and fringe.
Wrapsody Rap – Urban style, snowboarding fun and beach culture collide for Diane von Furstenberg’s resort 2012 collection. Relaxed silhouettes with funky prints dominated the runway as models strutted out in bright hues, soft layers and knits. Accessories include sporty sunglasses, cool satchels and oversize bags.
Diane von Furstenberg’s spring 2011 campaign and lookbook are out with models Ming Xi and Kendra Spears going topsy turvy much like the crazy prints. Lensed by Glen Luchford, the duo poses in von Furstenberg’s signature wrap dresses, bright hues and stylish accessories.
Diane von Furstenberg’s fall 2011 outing opened with a crimson wave of models donning a strong pairing of red and black dresses and separates. As always, Furstenberg showcased her signature print work with playful designs found on jumpsuits and wrap dresses. The finale ended with a bang, featuring slinky sequined gowns.
